Three men rob fast food outlet

A FAST food outlet in Port Moresby was robbed recently by three armed men who posed as customers, police say.
According to police, the Big Rooster outlet at Rainbow was robbed of its takings between 11am and midday recently.
A CCTV footage captured and shared online showed the armed suspects enter the outlet and rob the diners and the cashier at gunpoint.
One of the suspects was seen pointing what looked to be a shot gun at the cashier and ordered the money from the cash register.
After the money was taken, the robbers left but not before hiding their weapons and even allowing a female customer to walk in.
Police in Gerehu confirmed that they attended the scene, however, how much was taken had not be made available to them.
Police said investigations would continue.
In another incident, police nabbed a man at 8-Mile, who allegedly was in the process of robbing an elderly man.
Police found the suspect to be armed with a home-made firearm and live ammunition.
He was brought to the Gordon Police Station and formally arrested and processed.
