THE semi-final of the Port Moresby Men Softball League between PNG Power and Brown Eagles is expected to go down to the wire this Sunday.

The match should attract a good softball crowd to Bisini softball Diamonds.

PNG Power’s pitchers Danny Tovia and Brown Eagles rising star Clement Okole will make a difference on the result of the game.

Brown Eagles coach Robert Okole says PNG Power’s big game experience is something his side must not delve too much on heading into the match.

The Eagles will be counting on their pitcher/catcher combination of Okole and Graham Kinawai, who have carried on their good form from the recent national softball championships in Kavieng.

Other Eagles to look out for are Peter Bunbun, Martin ToAlbert, Gire Bunbun and Benzi Paivu.

He said his charges need to put on a seamless performance with the bat in order to pressure Power’s pitching.

Tovia brothers, Danny, Isikel Jr and Demas, Dimmick Wosley, Eddie Simba, Eugene ToVue and captain Pidil Pakar will be rely on to lead Power onslaught.

The surprise loss to United Brothers last weekend was a wakeup call for Power and the men in blue and red are not expected to falter.

The Eagles will be out to reach their first grand final in six years.

They last played in the grand final in 2007-08 which they lost to PNG Power.

Both teams are evenly matched in skill and the team that could hold its nerve in the big moments should go on to win the game.
