The National, Tuesday October 21st, 2014
French company Total plans to have a concept for development of Elk/Antelope gas fields finalised by mid next year, an official says.
Total E&P PNG Ltd managing director Philippe Blanchard said the concept would lay out where facilities for development of Elk/Antelope were to be built.
He said: “We have to define the type and location of facilities to be built for developing Elk/Antelope.
“Timetable is still in progress for the overall project and will depend on the concept selected (concept defined by mid-year 2015).”
Total is the fifth-largest publicly-traded integrated international oil and gas company in the world with a market capitalisation of around K331.89 billion as at the end of December last year.
The company’s facilities are located in various regions of the world, as well as the shareholders.
