TOUCH Football PNG have announced the PNG men’s 40 and men’s 35 train-on squad for the 2024 Touch Football World Cup which will be held in Nottingham, England.
The World Cup will be hosted from July 15-22. Both teams consist of players representing the federation’s affiliates and PNG citizens who compete in overseas-based competitions.
The men’s 40 train-on squad consists of players who were part of Team PNG who won bronze at the 2015 World Cup in Coffs Harbor Australia, while some players in the 35s were in the team that finished fourth (bronze runners up) in the 2015 event.
The men’s 35s will be led by Farapo Makura – recent silver medalist to 2023 Pacific Games and other former internationals Ridley Frank and Andrew Lunga.
