Touch Football Papua New Guinea (TFPNG) has begun discussions with its affiliates to outline a plan for this year as the sport looks to start its activities.
TFPNG general secretary David Max said an executive meeting would be announced once discussions with affiliates were completed.
“We will then decide on a ‘new normal’ and other important matters,” he said.
TFPNG president Kevin Luana said affiliates should be prepared to “recommence local competitions for a shorter duration to end before the festive period starts”.
Luana stressed on the importance of affiliation fees and said it would be among other important agendas during the meeting.
Among the list of activities for TFPNG this year, the national championships scheduled for September remain set with the TFPNG board agreeing on a change of venue.
The venue for the championships in Kavieng, New Ireland, is unable to meet TFPNG requirements, the sport’s governing body said.
Max said Lae was a viable option with the championships only three months away.
