Tourists recommend Madang for tours

TOURIST Eileen Yen Lee says she will highly recommend holidaymakers to make Madang as a “once-in-a-lifetime must visit”.
“Madang is one of the many beautiful and amazing places to tour,” she said.
Yen was one of the 680 tourists from America, Europe and Australia who arrived in a Canadian cruise ship recently.
“From information brochures given out by MTS Tour and diverse cultural shows, I now know why Madang is beautiful.”
The tourists were also full of praise for the beautiful Madang Harbour while others also made bookings to cruise the Sepik River on their return visit.
Australian tourist Cyril Sturn said: “As an Australian and PNG’s neighbour, it is a shame that this is my first visit.
“I have been on all sorts of cruise ships to various countries but PNG, Madang in particular, has taken my breath away.”
The tourists were also treated to a cruise of the harbour aboard the Kalibobo Spirit and entertained by a mini-cultural show featuring more than 14 ‘sing-sing’ groups involving more than 1,000 performers from the Highlands, Islands, Sepik, Milne Bay and Madang.
