Tower Insurance aids netball as Pepes eye qualifiers in NZ

Tower Insurance Ltd has come to the aid of Netball PNG by providing insurance cover for the Pepes who will attend the regional World Cup qualifiers in Auckland, New Zealand, next week.
Netball PNG chair Julienne Leka said “This sponsorship is very timely and we are grateful for the generosity of Tower Insurance Ltd towards the PNG Pepes.
“It has been a challenge over the last couple of months trying to secure funding for the team, so such support gives our team hope and confidence to persevere in their quest to qualify at this regional event.
In a statement, Tower Insurance said: “We are pleased to be involved with the leading female participating sport in PNG.
“In particular, we wish to support the growth and development of Netball in PNG through our support for the Pepes. This sponsorship reflects Tower’s longstanding commitment to PNG and the Pacific.”
The PNG Pepes are ranked 2nd in Oceania and 17th in the world.
The team departs tomorrow and will play lead-up matches in Australia and New Zealand before taking part in the qualifiers from Tuesday to Friday next week. Countries participating in the event are Fiji, Samoa, Cook Islands, Tonga and PNG.
