Triple-header on

Sports

WITH the Port Moresby Vipers having found some venom over their last two games of the Digicel Cup, Sunday’s clash with the high-flying Enga Mioks is expected to be the match of the round.
The fixture will also be part of a fan-friendly triple-header at the National Football Stadium with the Gulf Isou taking on the Waghi Tumbe and the day culminating in the SP PNG Hunters facing the second-placed Townsville Blackhawks in their round 12 Q-Cup match.
After attracting a crowd of 4935 for the Hunters-Capras match last Saturday, organisers are hoping to see at least 10,000 as the South Pacific Brewery-sponsored side look to make it three wins in a row, their best form of a slow season thus far.
The other thought on players’ minds will be the June test, with Kumuls spots up for grabs and form over the next game or two pivotal for some incumbents while fresh talent look to impress selectors.
