Trukai announces Roots K500,000 give-away promotion

Trukai Industries Ltd aims to reward loyal Roots Rice consumers with cash prizes this festive season
“We are hoping to help a lot of Papua New Guineans out there during the festive season by giving away cash prizes to those loyal Roots Rice customers,” said Trukai’s national marketing manager Maybellyn Fernandes.
Trukai announced at their head office in Gordon last Thursday that this was the second time it would host a Roots K500,000 give-away promotion.
The first one was carried out last year. There were 200,000 entries received nationwide which was a very good result.
“We hold a consumer promotion once or twice a year,” Fernandes said.
“When we were thinking about what to do, we just looked back on the success of last year and the feedback from some of the winners who were able to pay for their kids’ school fees and start little business for themselves.
“We decided to do the same thing again this year. We thought, ‘why not give them the cash and let them decide on what they want to do with it’?
“There were many encouraging and positive stories from the 116 winners across the country.”
Trukai industries general-manager sales and marketing Andrew Daubney said: “We are really happy knowing that our promotion was a blessing for those who needed it.”
To enter the promotion, buy any Roots medium grain rice product from 500g, 1kg, 5kg, 10kg and 20kg.
Write your name and mobile number on the empty rice packet /bag and drop them in entry bins located in participating outlets nationwide.
The promotion will run from Dec 1 to Jan 12, next year.
