Trukai Industries Limited receive inaugural Stan Joyce Award

TRUKAI Industries Limited is the inaugural recipient of the Stan Joyce Award, a new SP Sports Awards category which recognises the sporting contributions of corporate organisations.
The award was named after the brewery’s former managing director who said he was pleased to hear that the category had been introduced.
“There are number of companies in Papua New Guinea that have supported sports over many years, through the good times and bad times,” Joyce said.
“I’m glad to know we’re now having a category to recognise them.”
“I’d also like to thank all the other sponsors (of the SP Sports Awards) for continuing their support over the years.”
Trukai is known for supporting sporting teams and events, including the annual Fun Run, at the community, provincial and national level.
Their support to Team PNG has seen the country attend five Commonwealth Games, five Pacific Mini Games and five Pacific Games and this year’s Tokyo Games will make it the nation’s seventh Olympic Games.
