Trukai serves up a half-million

TRUKAI Industries made a presentation of K500,000 to the PNG Sports Federation and Olympic Committee at their head office yesterday in Port Moresby.
Trukai national marketing manager Pamela Penrose said Trukai was proud of its continued commitment towards assisting the PNGSFOC raise funds towards Team PNG’s participation at international sporting events such as the upcoming Pacific Games in Noumea.
The money will go towards paying the costs of Team PNG’s athletes to Noumea.
More than 450 athletes and officials will leave for the Games with the first contingent to depart tomorrow.
Present to receive the cheque was PNGSFOC president Sir Henry ToRobert who thanked the country’s leading rice importer for their support over the years.
He said Trukai was a major sponsor of the PNGSFOC and through their major activities such as the Trukai Fun Run T-shirt auctions and the Trukai Fun Run funding had been raised to send PNG’s largest team to the XIV Pacific Games.
