PAPUA NEW Guinea Teachers Association (PNGTA) members have been told to unite, speak as a union and sort out their issues.
Teaching Service Commission (TSC) chairman Samson Wangihomie told the members during their first meeting after two years of not working together.
Wangihomie said although the union had court cases and other issues, they had to stand together.
“A divided house is a weak house and a united house stands and all I am asking PNGTA is to ensure that you are united, you speak with one voice, you speak as a union and not being divided,” he told the members.
He said TSC wants PNGTA members to sort out themselves before coming together, adding that TSC’s job was to maintain industrial harmony by working with the union to serve the welfare of teachers.
