THE National Capital District Commission under its safe-city programme has trained 19 youths to work with it in addressing law and order problems at the Gordon market.
The youths known for law and order problems at the market undertook a three-week training provided by the commission.
They were presented certificates on Friday.
NCDC Social Services manager Kila Dick told them they would work together to make the market safe for the public.
“You guys will be the starting point, our gateway to change the Gordon market and the city as a whole,” he said.
“After training, you must have something to do in the near future and we (NCDC) will help you.”
He said the future now lies in their own hands to make a difference in their communities.
Dick further urged the youths to give their lives to God and turn away from material desires.
