Twelve baptise after studying Bible through lockdown

TWELVE people were baptised into the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) church after months of Bible study which started during the first Covid-19 lockdown in March, a church leader says.
Elder Joe Kin from the Idubada SDA church (a branch of the Kanudi church) said due to the Covid-19, the year was challenging for everyone in the community.
Kin said when the city was on lockdown, Idubada SDA church did not stop all work.
“During the lockdown when young people were not going to school and many were lazing around and being inactive, an opportunity was seen to have them engaged in studying the Word of God,” he said.
“Every evening, 7pm-8pm, from Monday to Thursday, Bible study was conducted.
“Following the first lockdown, a small branch church started.
“During the Bible study, six children and six adults were baptised by Kanudi church Pr Vincent Ani.
“On Saturday, 17 young people were recognised for their participation in the Bible study and were issued the certificate of completion together with achievement awards for been faithful despite the effect Covid-19 and other social downfall.
Kin said they successfully completed 58 topics in the World Changer Bible reading guide through their commitment and faith.
