A NATIONAL Volunteer Service (NVS) training in partnership with the Centre for Excellence in Financial Inclusion (Cefi) involving 26 participants is currently taking place in Lae to evaluate and monitor the work of volunteers in their communities.
The two-week workshop, which started this week, is on financial inclusion training conducted by Cefi while NVS will evaluate the work of volunteers next. NVS coordinator for community development Claudia Kaluwin said the financial inclusion part was to train the volunteers to train people in their local communities about how to make money, use it and to save for future.
NVS’ partnership with Cefi is one way the organisations can work together to educate people in rural areas around the country.
