U16 loss to Solomons quite shameful

Letters

THE Papua New Guinea Under 16 men’s soccer team losing to the Solomons 0-14 on March 13 in the OFC U-16 Men’s Championships in Tonga was unbelievable.
How can a PNG national team lose by a big margin like that to another Pacific Island state?
We, the soccer fans in PNG, are asking if that side was a true PNG side or made up of schoolboys selected in Port Moresby only.
Is that margin again indicative of the bad selection and decision-making choices that the Papua New Guinea Football Association (PNGFA) is making, as managers of football in the country?
Was it a fair selection, or did PNGFA do that at the last minute to just make up the numbers?
Management such as this must not be allowed to continue. It must stop.
The PNG side beating American Samoa 3-0 on March 16 and then losing to Tonga 0-7 on March 19 are bad results for PNG.
It is shameful.
Was the team made up of the best players PNG had? Or, was there favoritism practised?
Who are the selectors? Who are the officials involved in putting together the team?
They should be held accountable and sacked.
They are making PNG a laughing stock in Pacific football.
It is an embarrassment for us, the PNG football fans.
