THE Schools Football Association will be hosting its boys’ Under-16 finals at the Papua New Guinea Football Stadium in Port Moresby tomorrow.
The finals will start with the third-place playoff between St Therese Primary and Hohola Demonstration at 9am.
Paradise College and Philip Aravure kick off the grand final at 10am.
Chairman John Mogi said the association had already held its finals from the U6s-U14s.
He said unlike the U6s-U16s, the U18s would be awarded according to their end-of-season standings.
Mogi said there was a need for wider participation from schools in the city.
“They were 18 schools that participated in this year’s competition,” he said.
“The standard is good. This year, the skill level of many schoolchildren is impressive.”
Mogi said the competition had maintained a clear pathway for schoolchildren to further their skills and push for spots in the School of Excellence programme.
