UBUA men’s A grade team are on track to book a spot in the finals after an easy 3-1 win over Kema in the Dabunari Volleyball competition on Saturday.
The washout match from game two of round three was played prior to the start of game three of round three and Ubua wasted no time sending Kema back to the drawing board.
Spikers Bobby Bore junior, who is also known by nickname  Staggy, and Miamu Moio set the pace by making use of setter Peni Loa’s pin-point setting.
Evergreen blocker Ubene Kerea made sure Kema’s spikers did not knock the ball over by reading their play well  and preventing their balls finding  space in Ubua’s court.
Duna brothers Inara and Kabeda played well for Kema but their efforts were in vain as Ubua proved too strong.
In the B grade matches, Mogu silenced Kema 2-0 winning two sets convincingly with 25-21 and 25-23 scorelines.
In the match that followed Ubua were pushed to the edge by Ariva but Ubua held on to win two sets to one.
Ariva won the first set 25-21 but could not repeat that performance in the next two sets as Ubua come from behind to win the remaining sets 25-23 and 25-22.
Spikers Morogu Iori and Banny Bore played a key role in their win and had reliable support in Luana David and Rabi Toina.
