COMMUNICATION company bmobile-Vodafone last Sunday supported the Harry Heni Two-Ball Ambrose Memorial tournament at the Lae Golf Club.
The event drew 12 participants who all wore red to the tournament which has been running for the last six years.
Mick Davey won the 2018 Harry Heni Memorial Golf Day.
The ambrose golf tournament is an annual event run by the Uncoachables golf team at the Lae Golf Club. The Uncoachables are a team of 40 Lae residents who are not particularly great golfers but congregate every Sunday for a game and fun.
The Uncoachables occasionally donate K1000 to selected charities when they have excess funds.
bmobile-Vodafone Lae operations manager Kevin Howard told The National that the tournament was a lead-up to the Morobe Open at the same venue later this month. And the communication company was happy to give away a Vodafone handset as one of the prizes.
Apart from bmobile-Vodafone, other sponsors like Cummins, Lae International Hotel and Niugini Electrical also backed the event.
