Gigira Laitepo United coach David Passam is hoping for a better performance from his side when they face Huawei PS in the main game of the National Soccer League Southern Conference at Bisini Sports Complex tomorrow.

Passam said he would retain the lineup that played in the last two matches.

“We are looking to improve from where we left off last weekend and hopefully come up with a positive result at the end,” Passam said.

With Robert Sabadi and senior players Kelly Jampu, Ian Yanum, Krapet Tingut, Theo Sergius and Junior Sasu at the helm, the coach is confident they will give a good game to the Paul Komboi-led team.

Huawei’s coach Eric Petrus will call on the services of midfielder Paul Komboi, Michael Lohai, Chris Boyd and Daniel Petrus.

Up front, Petrus will have Francis Tulem and speedy Iamo “Plesman” Maneka to bombard Gigira Laitepo United’s defence time and again.

It should be an good game.

In the early game on Saturday, Port Moresby will take on the Posman Kua Aisi Lawyers-sponsored Rapatona.

The match should go down to the wire as both teams lost last weekend and would want to win back some pride.

Port Moresby lost to Gigira Laitepo United 3-2, while Rapatona was thrashed by red-hot Hekari United 4-0.

On Sunday, Erema Gulf will face yet another tough test when they size up nine-time NSL champions Hekari United.

After two rounds of competition, Hekari is leading with 6 points, Gigira Laitepo United 3, PKA Rapatona 3, Huawei PS 3, Eremas 3 and Port Moresby 0.
