The teachers are to return to serve in the district.
“The UOG will accept 10 students from Teleformin Secondary School to take up studies in various programmes at UOG,” Teleformin MP Solan Mirisin said.
“TDDA will fully fund these students for all the years they study at UOG.
“After graduating, these students will return to serve for three years before they decide to either continue teaching in the district or leave for other districts or provinces,” he said.
“The MOA will start next year.”
UOG vice-chancellor Prof Musawe Sinebare said: “This MOA covers working community health workers (CHW).
“They can go for studies at UOG and return and teach trainee CHW at the CHW training school.”

  • Hon. Members for Telefomin is thinking within the box, the way he think and does things reflex simplicity and down to earth stuff. We don’t need PHD, Master degree holders to only to read through what he does. Provide opportunities for policemen, teachers and Didiman & meri are some of the professions in sandaun where DDAs of respective 4 districts in WSP can do that easily by sponsoring students to undergo training in this fields then come and serve in their districts, nothing complicated about such thinking and approach.
