UPNG course a concern

Letters

I AM worried about the Applied Finite Mathematics course being delivered by University of Papua New Guinea through its Open Campus this year.
There are so many mistakes and some information are misprinted in the AFM course booklet.
Clearly the university is not going through the books carefully to ensure there are no mistakes.
The students are still getting charged.
In addition, the students spend their time studying and doing assignments but when it comes to lecture periods, they turn up and the lecturers or tutors are not there. This happens a lot.
A high number of students fail and then spend more money to do the course again the following year. This is unfair.
If the students and parents are paying for the AFM booklet, then the university should make sure the information needed is provided and accurate.
The university should also make sure that the lecturers and tutors turn up to lectures.
