THEmove to replace Geoffrey Vaki as police commissioner is good news to everyone after all ill-discipline and lack of public confidence in the police force within the past few months, neededimmediate attention and I hope the new commissioner can restore public confidence.

Vaki would have been remembered as a champion if he had acted transparently to arrest Prime Minister Peter O’Neill when he was appointed as the police commissioner when the prime minister was referred for arrest and investigation.
