Very bad precedence

A TREND has diverted the proper procedures of appointing public servants to positions in the Eastern Highlands Government.
The Department of Personnel Management (DPM) will be in a better position to explain and clarify the correct process and procedures when appointing a person to high profile positions.
It has become a culture where highly educated Eastern Highlanders are using force to get into positions without due respect to the correct process.
They are using their tribesmen to forcefully enter the office and occupy positions without even applying.
With respect to a few honest Eastern Highlanders, my concern is in regard to the provincial administrators office and the Division of Education.
They are being politically manipulated and no one dares to step in and correct these corrupt practices.
As an Eastern Highlander, I am ashamed of such ill minded persons and call on DPM, the Education Department and the prime minister’s office to step in and correct these unethical behaviour and corrupt practices.
People have suffered from such selfish behaviours and such practices should stop.
The Governor (Peter Numu) and the elected leaders should address this as we are well behind other provinces in terms of development, education and others.
