THE Wagang village in the Ahi local level government area of Lae district will finally have a church building, thanks to the Ahi Investment Ltd (AIL) and Lae City Authority.
AIL and LCA contributed K100,000 each that was added onto the villagers’ contribution of K50,000.
AIL chairman George Gware said such assistance took place some years ago, starting with the Kamkumung Church building renovation, Yalu village church and now Wagang.
“Minister for Lands and Physical Planning and our Lae MP (John Rosso), I am happy to announce that that all these projects our people had never knocked on doors of companies or MPs,” Gware said.
“They sweated and dug deep into their pockets for which now we are witnessing. Young people of Wagang approached me and said they had K34,000 and needed assistance after hearing what AIL had done for Kamkumung and Yalu,” Gware said
