 THE Motuan village of Porebada outside Port Moresby will host the fortnightly NCD Boxing Assocition competition on Sunday.

After a false start last weekend at the Socay Boxing Club at Hohola, Porebada earned the right to host the fights, according to NCD Boxing official Junior Raga Kaoka.

He urged all the clubs wishing to take part in the championship to front up at Socay Boxing Club at Hohola for the weigh in before boarding the bus for Porebada.

The fights start at noon and are scheduled to end by 5pm.

Kaoka said the fortnightly fights were part of the preparation for the club championship which will be held at the Port Moresby Country club next month.

The champion club will win boxing equipment such as pads, bags and gloves. There will be no trophies or cash prizes.
