VOLLEYBALL has been boosted with its identification as one of the 28 sports to be allocated an office space at the Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby.
This announcement was made by Papua New Guinea Sports Foundation executive director Peter Tsiamalili Jr recently.
PNG Volleyball Association Incorporated president Kila Dick acknowledged Tsiamalili for his confidence in the sport’s development programmes and pathways in the country.
He said this was the beginning of a new era in pathway development which volleyball had been missing in recent years.
“I’m confident that with this partnership, our development programmes and plans will be effective from next year.
“This will pave the way for us to improve our standards from an early age.
“We have the 2023 Pacific Games in Honiara, Solomon Islands.
“Our national women’s team have begun early preparations leading to that.”
