Vote in a blue-collar leader for Madang

Letters

MADANG needs a drastic change.
An education upgrade, more technical training, more jobs, addressing law and order, more police manpower, more police vehicles and logistic support, more police houses, more water supply, sewage system, more businesses for landowners, reliable power supply, excellence high school, university of technology and standby generator to supply Madang town and the nearby villages.
Due to technical advancements, Madang now needs a fresh, new leader from a blue-collar (working class and trades people) background to bring real change to our people.
Many issues affecting Madang are technical issues and, therefore, we need a blue-collar leader to address these issues.
Look at the poor road conditions in Madang town.
If a leader cannot fix simple things such as our roads and drainage system, how can you run Madang?
If a leader cannot maintain or fix our standby power generator, how can you run Madang?
If a leader cannot assist our landowners run businesses, how can you run Madang?
I witnessed a lot of hardships in residents, settlements, villages and institutions such as hospitals due to no power. All these reflect bad leadership.
Madang needs a technical framework to develop its foundation. Madang needs a technical development plan to carter for and involve all sectors in Madang including the landowners.
I appeal to all landowners of Madang’s impact projects who are receiving a small amount of royalties to realise that you need a blue-collar leader now.
A technical leader is one who has the welfare of the people at heart and can negotiate on your behalf so that you become shareholders and part-owners of projects on your land so that you can receive a higher income.
Madang needs green technology and reliable, clean, green cheap power of 2toea or 5toea per Kilowatt hour of grid power to grow your SMEs and grow other businesses in Madang.
I encourage more blue-collar leaders to run in the Madang Open by-election.
A technical leader will assist citizens to change Madang for the better. The power is in your hands. Use it wisely and responsibly.
I appeal to Kananam, Rempi and surrounding villagers in the Marine Park Zone (PMIZ), Granget, Siar, Yabob, Bilbil, Gogol, Mis, people in Bel group, people of Ois group, Erima, North Coast, people of Rai Coast in Madang, people of Bogia in Madang, people of Kambaramba, Keram, Sepik in Madang, people of PNG in Madang, people of Madang and landowners to select a technical leader, so you, your children and your grandchildren may benefit now and in future.
