Wagambie Jr, two others promoted to assistant commissioners

POLICE Comm David Manning announced the appointment of two new assistant commissioners (ACP) and confirmed Samson Kua as Asst Comm, operations at the National Police Headquarters in Port Moresby on Friday.
According to a statement, director community policing Chief Supt John Kolopen is now ACP and Commander Border.
Chief Supt Anthony Wagambie Jnr is ACP and Commander Southern. But, Wagambie will maintain the NCD/Central command until further notice.
Kua is ACP operation.
Manning made the announcements in a small ceremony witnessed by Police Minister Bryan Kramer, acting DCP operations Donald Yamasombi, members of the police promotion board headed by the chairman Rev Sir Sommy Setu, former Bishop of the Lutheran church of Port Moresby, assistant commissioners Peter Guinness and Joab Mangae and senior officers.
Comm Manning thanked the promotion board for a deliberate and impartial recommendation, adding that it was a consultative process that was guided by what is best for the organisation.
