He told The National yesterday that the truck was ready to serve the station’s fire zone – including the suburbs of Morata, Tokarara, Waigani and the University of PNG.
He said the maintenance cost about K3500 and was funded by the National Capital District Fire brigade.
The firefighters were called to a fire at Nine-Mile on Sunday night which destroyed a family home.
Farapo urged the public to report any fire to the Waigani fire station on 323 0495. The toll free number (110) is not working.
