Waiting for a cleanup in the public service

Letters

WHEN will the Independent Commission Against Corruption and other law enforcement agencies start cleaning up the public service?
As recently announced, investigations that will start into inexplicable wealth, are yet to provide any results.
Reports in the media about the “look at me” public servants out there praising themselves about the number of years they have been on the job is exactly where the authorities should start before all their entitlements and superannuation funds are paid out.
All retiring public servants should be subjected to an audit by a number of agencies to show how many have become wealthier far beyond their means.
Just because they have retired does not mean they are no longer liable for audit, investigation or prosecution.
Billions were stolen over the years.
With the new Proceeds of Crime Act now in place, all assets can be seized and sold off to recover this money and all costs associated with same.
