Water plant operating normally after meeting with landowners

EDA Ranu acting managing director Raka Taviri Jnr says the Mt Eriama Plant facility is operating normally after a meeting with the landowners yesterday.
Taviri told The National that he met with the Bihori principal landowners who had threatened to shut down the water supply to the city over land issues.
Taviri said Government officials were also there to receive the petition from the people.
The landowners from 14-Mile, 17-Mile and Bautama had handed a petition to Prime Minister James Marape and the Lands and Physical Planning Minister John Rosso to address their grievances.
It follows the court-ordered eviction of families living on the piece of land at 14-Mile to make way for a K100 million four-lane road.
