We need more people like Naur

Letters, Normal

THE current Chimbu administrator, Joseph Kunda Naur, is no-nonsense man.
He is competent and determined to serve the people of Chimbu with a clear conscience.
Naur is a decent public servant who made his way up the ranks.
Chimbu would have been better off if not for a long-drawn court battle before he was permitted to take charge as administrator.
Despite taking up the top job recently, he has provided the public services machinery leadership and we are now seeing development in Chimbu, something that has been missing for decades.
This shows that PNG has a gigantic task when it comes to effectively delivering services unless we can find people who are as committed as Naur.
I believe that meaningful delivery of goods and services to the people can only be realised if competent and God-fearing people are in control.
