Website makes it easy for customers to access products

BSP Life PNG launched its website aimed at getting customers to have ready access to its products and services online, country manager Nilson Singh says.
Speaking during the website launching in Port Moresby yesterday, he said the website aligned to the BSP group’s strategy to increase its digital presence and further strengthen its business growth as it planned to expand to Lae next April and to Mt Hagen in January 2022.
“In this digital era, if you don’t have a digital presence, you simply do not exist,” he said.
“A website helps to establish a business credibility as it is always available and accessible 24-hours a day.
“Due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, we had to change our business strategy and do most of our business over phones and emails.
“While we did advertise our products, we received feedback from our customers that we should have a website which would make it easier for the customers to know about the business and the products that we have on offer.
“After five months of efforts from our projects team, which included our Fiji-based vendor, and our group marketing team, we are here to launch our website.
“The website has also been optimised to be used on mobile phones which means you have the same user experience irrespective of the device you use.”
Singh said key features included an online quote calculator, the ability to find insurance agencies and contact them directly (online), chat features for the clients to send queries online, view the board and management profile and access claims forms.
He said the website was part of the insurance campaign, facilitated by the centre for financial inclusion in partnership with other insurance agencies, to run a two-month insurance campaign which started last month and would conclude at the end of this month.
“As part of the campaign, we have launched our website that’s going to help boost the campaign further and it will also have ready access to products as well as be able to do quotes online as well,” Singh said.
BSP group chief executive officer Robin Fleming said having a website would make it easier for customers to do research about the products and services being offered.
“It gives our customers and consumers the opportunity to do some research, before our agents come and serve them and also for our agents to be able to illustrate to our potential customers where on the website are the particular terms and conditions where we can reach a potential population,” he said.
BSP Life PNG is a subsidiary of the BSP group.
It is a licensed life insurance company which commenced operations in PNG in January 2018.
