Website upgraded to make clients surf with ease

THE Independent Consumer and Competition Commission (ICCC) has upgraded and redesigned its website layout and functionality with encompassing features which are compatible with all hand-held devices such as mobile phones.
The new-look website was launched yesterday.
Local IT company Cloud Code PNG Ltd did the work.
Commissioner and chief executive Paulus Ain, pictured, said the upgrade and redesign of the website was based on the key objective of redesigning a website that was compatible, easily accessible and user-friendly to clients.
The newwebsite has certain new key features which include:

  • Improvement done to online registers and retrieval of information;
  • Online application forms;
  • Links to other partners, stakeholders and information;
  • Easy navigation between the web pages;
  • Easy access to forms and reports; and,
  • Map locator for the commission’s regional officers and contacts.

Commission general manager Avi Hubert said the organisation cotinued to improve its business processes, engagement with businesses and consumers, and respective organisations.
“The launching of the new-look website is one of the initiatives,” he said.
“We started the process back in 2017.”
Newman Nipson, from the vice-minister of treasury’s office, said having access to information was important for decision-making.
“It is important that information is presented in such a way that it is easily accessed and understood,” he said.
“The various businesses and Government departments are working closely to ensure that the priorities that the Government set out in the Alotau Accord II and our development plans are implemented.
“I am confident that the ICCC’s efforts in updating its website and making it accessible to its clients complements the Government’s plans.”
