Well done Niningi

Letters

PILA Niningi is the pride of Imbonggu as the best performing leader in his capacity as a state minister and MP.
He has joined what I like to call Papua New Guinea’s league of extraordinary gentlemen or the pantheon of top-performing statesmen.
This exclusive club as far as the current term is concerned includes exemplary MPs such as Tom Lino (Wabag), Elias Kapavore (Pomio), Richard Maru (Yangoru-Saussia), Wesley Nukundj (Dei), Justin Tkatchenko (Moresby South), Powes Parkop (NCD Governor), Sir Peter Ipatas (Enga Governor), Gary Juffa (Northern Governor), Peter O’Neill (Ialibu-Pangia) and Jeffery Komal (Nipa Kutubu) to name a few
Pila’s right of passage to the top will never be disputed and it stands as a staggering fact.
Unless one can channel the ‘solwara’ into Imbonggu and bring in the Titanic as one satisfied constitutent proclaimed in a recent gathering.
But standing out in front of the crowd attracts attention.
When you are the best, everything you do will attract attention.
And I pen-off with a line from Mature Gambino, my favourite comedian and writer: “You can lie down for people to walk on you and they will still complain that you are not flat enough.”
