Wenge assures security firm

Lae News, Normal

MENYAMYA Security Services (MSS), the group that keeps watch at strategic spots around Lae city for petty criminals and trouble makers, have returned to work following assurance from Morobe Governor Luther Wenge to take up their case.
The group was contracted by the Morobe government to keep watch for vigilantes harassing the public at bus stops and shops.
During their engagement, the public had experienced a marked improvement in security. Recently, however, in trying to carry out their services, they had made enemies and become the bane of illegal street vendors.
Reports said betelnut sellers on Wednesday attacked four MSS guards at the main bus stop in town where two were injured and another two hospitalised.
