Wenge assures United Party

MOROBE Governor and parliamentary leader of the PNG First Party Luther Wenge has assured the United Party that his party will not be putting up candidates to run against them in the 2012 general elections in the Morobe province.
Wenge was addressing a United Party fundraising dinner held at the Lae International Hotel on Saturday night.
He said People’s First would endorse candidates only outside of the province.
Wenge said his party would be working with all Morobean candidates to form a government in the next elections.
“We will also be supporting Bob Dadae to make sure he returns as the Kabwum MP after the next general elections.
“The First People’s party is with you,”he assured Dadae.
Wenge said it was imperative that a good coalition formed the next government so it was important that voters elected the best leaders so that the best government could be formed.
He said said it was  up to all other parties including People’s First, National Alliance and United Party to find a good leader to succeed Prime Minister Sir Michael Somare.
Wenge also said businessman Sir Bob Sinclair would be contesting the Lae Open seat at the next elections.
