WESTPAC PNG and the PNG banks and Financial Institution Workers Union have signed a collective enterprise agreement (CEA), a commitment by the bank to its employees as it introduces a pay increase, housing benefits and better leave entitlements.
Westpac PNG chief executive officer Brett Hooker said the well-being and career development of its employees was a priority.
“The bank is excited about the opportunities that lie ahead in the region, and are fully committed to working together with its incredible team to navigate and seize these opportunities.” Hooker said the signing signified the bank’s commitment to fostering a collaborative and supportive workplace for its employees.
“As an organisation, Westpac values the hard work and dedication of its employees, and we are proud to have reached this significant agreement with the union.
“Our commitment to our staff goes beyond words; it is reflected in concrete actions.
“This agreement demonstrates our commitment to the needs of our employees, our customers and our communities,” he said.
