What has Paska done for TUC?

I REFER to John Paska’s comments “We are not activists” (The National, Aug 26).
I would like to remind him that Dr Bob Danaya was the National Doctors Union’s president for 15 years and a two-term governor of Western province.
Bulolo MP Sam Basil was a former medallist and PNG international taekwondo representative.
He was selected by the US state department to represent Pacific Islands young leaders to attend Barack Obama inauguration.
Goroka MP Thompson Harokaqveh was PNG’s gold medallist in the 800m event of the SP Games and an outspoken MP.
Sir Mekere Morauta was the former PM and, now, Opposition leader.
Anglimp-South Waghi MP Jamie Maxtone-Graham is one of the few original free thinkers in Parliament and a two-term MP.
All the MPs Mr Paska ridiculed are leading a successful private life and outstanding political careers.
Mr Paska, despite heading TUC for the last 20 years, continues to fail in all national elections he contested in.
As the TUC leader, what has he done for the members?
There is hardly any improvement in the members’ welfare.
He should look after his backyard first.
