Why additional charges on top of fees paid?
I AM a parent of five kids who are in pre-elementary to secondary schools.
I earn K400 a fortnight and I have always sacrificed to save for their school fees every year.
This year I paid full school fee for my two children who are attending one of the primary schools but they were not issued any new uniforms.
I was told to pay an additional K40 for my kids’ uniforms.
Can the authorities explain why the school is charging an extra K40 for the uniforms?
I understand that the school fee covers all operational costs including school uniforms.

I think this additional amount could be the smoke and boy money for the headboy and chairgirl.
stupid free education policy, we still pay some money so what is the definition of free in the dictionary.
Those additional fees are called “Corruption Fees” and normally no receipt is given.
Pathetic!
