Why buy cars from Italy?

IT is an honour and privilege to host the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Leaders’ Summit.
Even though our leaders have spoken much about the immediate, short-term and long-term impact of hosting Apec, it seems that they have failed to understand its core purpose.
Apec helps enhance economic growth and prosperity in the region to strengthen the Asia-Pacific community. Since its inception, Apec has worked to reduce tariffs and other trade barriers across the Asia-Pacific region, creating efficient domestic economies and dramatically increasing exports.
I wonder if buying expensive cars from a non-Apec country like Italy is within the scope of the purpose of Apec.
