Will Apec change lives?

I am surprised that the government has a lot of money to spend on Apec and it is telling people that much good will come out of it.
My simple comment is this: We must stop pretending that this is a better place simply because we have fixed the potholes we have not fixed in 30 years. Likewise, just because we are hosting Apec does not mean that we should go out and stop people selling on the street.
Please leave things as there are for Apec delegate to see for themself.
Lastly, at the start of the LNG Project the government said the country will become rich because of it. Where is that wealth now?
I don’t think Apec will change our lives for the better.
