Wingti deserves recognition

 I AGREE with The National’s editorial on Monday (Dec 30) that current Western Highland Governor, Right Honourable Paias Wingti, is overdue for official recognition by the National Government. He should have recognised 10 to 15 years ago and probably have been knighted by this time. Recognition of eminent persons like Wingti will have a positive impact on our younger generation who will realise that it takes hard work and smart thinking to become such a leader. So this could be an appropriate time to change the name of Kagamuga airport to Paias Wingti International Airport.
