GABUTU Dragons and Vadavada United bagged wins to survive the elimination playoffs in the Moresby South Rugby League competition at Moresby South Stadium last weekend.
Dragons beat Southern Sons 16-10 and United triumphed over Korobosea Souths 10-4.
The winners now advance to another round of sudden-death matches on Sunday.
Dragons will meet Sub City Raiders and United will face minor premiers Kaugere Bulldogs.
Taurama Wolfpack edged Bulldogs 11-8 and 6-Mile Crows beat Raiders 4-0 in the qualifying finals.
Wolfpack and Crows take the weekend off and await the winners of the elimination finals for next week’s preliminary finals.
In the women’s division, Vadavada United beat Korobosea Souths 8-4 and Kone Eagles were leading 12-0 when Crows decided not to complete the second half with only 11 players.
