DESPITE the numerous effort by the Government through health department to improve the health standard in Papua New Guinea, some of the health centres and rural aid post are still in need of infrastructure development. Angoram Town Health centre main operating theatre is not operational for some years now. The health centre does not have electricity supply, water supply and medical equipment for donkey years and health workers are struggling every day to treat huge number of patients. Angoram is a notorious place for wire-catapult and knife attacks. Therefore, the unavailability of health services there is the everyday concern for the locals. Pictured is the deteriorating Angoram Town Health Centre’s main operating theatre.
