This tree growing along Williams Road near the Spirit of Kokopo bus stop in East New Britain has its branches touching the powerlines.
On rainy days, the points where they touch create a short circuit that can be heard from the ground.
PNG Power workers used to trim tree branches to keep them away from power lines, but this has not happened here for awhile.
Is this dangerous? Of course, it is.
