A vehicle went off Waigani Drive and crashed into the cement plant pot uprooting the tree in the traffic island along the Waigani Drive in the early hours of Saturday.
The tree was planted as part of the National Capital District beautification programme.
At a festive season like this people should be careful when walking or crossing roads.
Many road accidents are likely to happen.
