A flood at Wasab River in Madang’s Banab bypass route stopped vehicles from crossing.
Loop PNG reporter Freddy Mou had to wade through the water to make his way to the other side.
Travellers have no problems when there’s no rain but during a downpour, the river floods and that’s when people have trouble getting across.
Locals are still waiting for the collapsed Banab Bridge to be reconstructed to make travel easier.
