TRAFFIC along the Goroka town section of the Highlands Highway is sometimes held up when cows and pigs cross the highway.
The animals scavenge for food daily.
In emergencies, ambulances and police are sometimes forced to deal with the animals crossing the road.
Pictured are cows crossing the highway near the Goroka hospital turn-off junction over the weekend.

This mentality of of looking after animals like cows and pigs in towns should be stopped.. Towns and cities are not farms…
